About Our School

The School is named after the Holy Mother Virgin Mary, the most eminent patron saint of Christendom. It belongs to the St. Mary’s Orthodox Cathedral Parish which is one of the ancient parishes of the Malankara Orthodox Church. The Parish started an English Medium Primary School in the year 1991; but it could not achieve the desired progress for want of affiliation. The parishioners in their general body meeting decided to develop this School into an outstanding Public School with all modern facilities of a centre of excellence.

With this objective, the administration of the school was entrusted to an Association of 50 bond holders, all belonging to the Parish, based on a constitution formulated for this purpose. The Parish has under written the cost of the project which amounts to about Rs. 110 lakhs. The present School Campus is situated close to the town, hardly 1.5 Km from the Cathedral towards Kallumala Junction.

The educational infrastructure consists of well-equipped laboratories in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Education and a well-stocked library. We have a children’s park which our pre school children enjoy during their free time and games periods. The school has been upgraded to plus two stage (Class XII) w.e.f 01-04-2007 by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) .......
